Our Office Availability

At this time of urgency, all clinical services at Life-Like Laboratory remain open by appointment only and available to provide needed care for all patients.

During your office visits, please continue to take all precautions recommended by local government and the CDC. We follow COVID-19 precautions and adjust to changes in orders issued by city, state and federal government levels.

What You Need to Know About Coronavirus

As the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak becomes more widespread, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Dallas County Department of Health are monitoring the situation closely, providing us with daily updates. Know that Life-Like Laboratory is closely monitoring the situation locally and is prepared to offer our services for those in need.

What to expect if you come to Life-Like Laboratory

  • For office appointments, we are allowing only 1 patient at a time for protection and safety.
  • A pre-questionnaire is required before your entry into our laboratory for your appointment.
  • Masks will be provided if the patient is needing a face cover. Ask the office for a mask if necessary.
  • All patients and visitors will be evaluated for COVID-19 symptoms before entering the laboratory.
    • Anyone with a temperature above 100.4° F. will not be allowed to enter the building and will be directed to reschedule your visit when you do not have a temperature.
  • Use the alcohol-based sanitizer in rooms often during your visit.
  • During the time of your visit, please remain in the room you are escorted to be in. Refrain from moving in and out of the room, standing outside the room, or meeting in a waiting area.

How to protect yourself and prevent spreading the virus:

  • Maintain social distancing: shelter at home, avoid public gatherings or groups of more than 9 people and remain at least 6 feet apart from others.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap & water for at least 20 seconds.
  • If soap & water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces.
  • Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick.
  • Get a flu shot.

Symptoms of COVID-19:

  • Fever >100.4° F. (or >38° C.)
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Difficulty breathing

If you are sick:

  • Stay home. If symptoms are severe, call your primary care doctor or visit an urgent care center or emergency room. Be certain to inform your doctor or the urgent care/ER receptionist that you are presenting with symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap & water for at least 20 seconds.
  • If soap & water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your face.

  • Avoid close contact with people.

Have you recently traveled?

  • If you have traveled internationally in the past 14 days or come in contact with someone who is sick and traveled recently internationally:
    • Stay home and call your doctor
    • If you visit a doctor’s office, urgent care center or hospital emergency room, please notify their staff about your travel history (or your contact with others who are sick) and put on a mask.
